Working as a  L.I.T.S. Lab Assistant, Help Desk 1 or Help Desk 2 is a great resume builder. You learn useful computer and interpersonal skills as you work with a large audience of computer users with varying types of technological needs

JOB DESCRIPTION :
Provide support to students and faculty on a variety of topics, most commonly PC applications and proceedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS :
Candidate must be able to work shifts in a minimum of 2 - 4 hour intervals.
Employee must work a minimum of 10 hours per week
Must be willing to work nights or weekends
General training is provided, although some previous experience with computers is useful
Helpful if employee has used computers before (e.g. accessed e-mail, surfed the web)
Candidate must have good oral and written communication skills
Candidate must pass the LITS COMPUTER LITERACY EXAM with a minimum 75 percent grade
Candidate will interact with faculty, staff and students on a daily basis

RATE OF PAY :
$ 5.15 / Hour to start. Increments each year of employment, up to 3 years

HOURS :
Somewhat flexible. Most employees have their choice of hours within a 8am - 9pm work day
